Rooted & Nourished
A Day Retreat on Nex̱wlélex̱wm | Bowen Island, BC
August 15, 2026
Two Ways to Join
Slow down. Listen inward.
Be nourished.
There is something that happens when you stop long enough to listen.
Not to the noise outside, to the voice underneath it. The one that knows what you need, what you are ready for, what is waiting to grow.
On August 15th, I am holding space on Nex̱wlélex̱wm, Bowen Island, for a day rooted in nature, guided by intuition, and closed around the table together.
Two ways to be part of it.

Mid Morning Class
A Morning in Nature
10am to 12pm · 2 hours
Two hours is enough to notice you've been holding your breath.
We meet in Snug Cove, an easy walk from the ferry terminal, so there's no need to bring a car. Walk on, and you're already close.
The morning moves through guided meditation, Reiki, and forest bathing, the kind of quiet walk where you actually hear the birds instead of your own to-do list. Journaling and intention setting close it out, giving shape to whatever surfaced.
The morning holds its own full arc, start to finish. You'll leave clearer, softer, and more present than when you arrived, ready for whatever the rest of your day holds.
Afternoon Retreat & Dinner
Rooted & Nourished
1pm to 7pm · 6 hours
We meet on a quiet stretch of the island, away from the ferry crowds and everyday noise. The moment your feet hit the ground here, something in you starts to loosen.
The afternoon moves through guided meditation, Reiki, and real time in nature, ocean air, moss underfoot, sunlight breaking through the trees. Parts of it are held in silence, not the empty kind, the kind where you can finally hear your own thoughts instead of everyone else's.
There is room to sit still and room to walk. Room for whatever actually surfaces once you stop rushing past it.
As the light shifts into evening, we gather around a long table for an Italian family style dinner, real food, real conversation, the kind of night where people who arrived as strangers leave knowing something true about each other.
This is your invitation to slow down and receive.
Full meeting details and everything you need to know will be emailed to you before the day.

A NOTE FROM JENNIFER
I created this day for the part of you that already knows it needs this. The part that has been waiting for a reason to finally stop.
You do not need a full day to feel the difference. Two hours in the forest on this land can change the quality of everything that follows. And if you are ready to go all the way in, the full day will hold you from morning through to the table.
Either way, I will see you on the island.

This event takes place on Nex̱wlélex̱wm (Fast Drumming Ground), known as Bowen Island — the ancestral territory of the Squamish Nation, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw.
The Squamish Nation has known this land since time immemorial. For thousands of years, Nex̱wlélex̱wm was a neutral meeting ground where different Nations gathered. The territory carries stories and teachings that belong to the Squamish people and continue to guide their relationship with this land today.
We are guests here. I acknowledge that history with respect, and are grateful for the care the Squamish Nation has always given to this place.
