Mujen was a dream that sat in me for 12 years.
After earning my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Arts from the University of Victoria, I found myself disconnected from the creativity I once loved and unsure of where my degree would take me. I trained as an esthetician and spent years working in spas, still searching for where I belonged.
I made the leap to follow my intuition and travelled to Kenya for the first time, where I volunteered. I moved in and out of the corporate world at different points along the way, before and after building and selling a business that was later featured on Dragons' Den. I continued returning to Africa, eventually travelling to nine countries across the continent and moving to South Africa, where I lived for three years.
Eventually I found myself in a corporate role as a Senior Marketing Specialist, far from the art, expression and sense of giving to others that had always lit me up. The work wasn't aligned with my values, and over time it began affecting my mental and physical health.
But the dream of Mujen never left me, and I finally couldn't ignore that inner voice any longer. I went all in on Mujen.
Today, I guide high-achieving women experiencing burnout to reconnect with their intuition, bring their gifts into the world and create a life that feels true to who they are. My work brings together my training as a Reiki Master, Advanced Meditation & Breathwork Teacher, Art Coach and Holistic Wellness Practitioner, along with my background in creativity, business and marketing. I've trained with numerous spiritual teachers along the way, and I continue to deepen my practice today.
Mujen means to dream.
For me, it is about the dreams that keep calling us, the gifts we haven't fully shared yet and the parts of ourselves we sometimes put aside while building the life we think we're supposed to want.
I'm still dreaming too. One day, I want to own a retreat centre on 33 acres of land where people can immerse themselves in healing, creativity and transformation. Until then, I'm building Mujen one experience at a time.
