If you've been running on empty so long you've forgotten what full feels like — you're in exactly the right place.
This is a space for women who are done pushing through. Women who are exhausted, creatively blocked, or carrying a dream they haven't yet given themselves permission to pursue. If that's you, welcome. I built this for you — because I was you.
ABOUT JENNIFER & MUJEN COMMUNITY
MY STORY
I didn't know I was burning out. My body had to tell me.
For years I worked in marketing, making good money and doing what I was supposed to do. On paper, everything looked fine. Inside, I was slowly disappearing. I had done enough spiritual and personal work to know my soul wasn't aligned with the path I was on — but I kept going anyway.
Eventually came faster than I expected. After a 20-hour workday trying to meet a deadline, my doctor told me to stop immediately and take leave. There had been signs before — a gallbladder issue that took a month to recover from, a friend gently telling me I didn't look well — but I had brushed them all aside. I didn't even recognise what was happening as burnout. I just thought I was tired.
I struggled to complete simple tasks. I was too exhausted to socialise. Life was passing me by and I didn't have the energy to catch it.
When I finally stopped, everything became clear. The job was making me mentally and physically sick. And the dream I had been quietly carrying for 12 years was still there, waiting patiently for me to be ready. So I quit. With no plan, no safety net, and no idea exactly what came next. I just knew I couldn't keep going the way I had been.
THE CREATIVE WOUND
A Fine Arts degree was supposed to open me up. Instead, it almost closed me down for good.
I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts, majored in Visual Arts. I loved making art long before I studied it — and somewhere in that university environment, I stopped. The program was intensely conceptual. The energy in the studio was anything but creative. I found myself painting at home instead of in the space meant for it. I left feeling smaller than when I arrived, quietly convinced that perhaps I wasn't really an artist after all.
I'm not the only one. I've since connected with so many women who had the same experience — including, remarkably, Danielle Krysa of The Jealous Curator, who attended the same art school, had the same professor, and left with the same creative wound. Hearing her story helped me understand that what happened to me wasn't personal. It was a failure of the system — one that was never designed to nurture the kind of creativity that actually changes lives.
We were told art wasn't a real job. That it was time to be serious. That belief system crushed my spirit for years — and I've met hundreds of women who felt exactly the same way.
It wasn't until a kind Grade 10 teacher named Mr. Mytron believed in me, submitted my work to a gallery, and told me to pursue Fine Arts, that I felt the spark return. He encouraged thousands of students to trust their creativity. I carry his words with me still — and I try to pass that same encouragement on to every woman I work with.
Reclaiming my creativity was part of my healing from burnout. And now, helping other women do the same is at the heart of everything Mujen offers.
THE REBUILDING
It took a whole village to bring me back to myself. Now I want to be part of yours.
Healing wasn't linear or quick. It took energy healing, acupuncture, osteopathy, therapy, spiritual mentors, a life coach, creative courses, and the kind of support I had never let myself receive before. Each practitioner held a different piece of the puzzle. Together, they helped me find my way back.
That experience is woven into everything I now offer. I know what it feels like to need a whole team just to feel human again. I know the relief of finding someone who holds space without judgment. And I know what it feels like on the other side — present, rested, purposeful, and genuinely alive.
LIFE NOW
I don't rush anymore. My nervous system knows the difference.
I spend more time in nature. I sleep well. My mind no longer spins. I've met remarkable people and I have the energy to actually show up for them. I'm present in my body and my life in a way I hadn't been in years. Starting Mujen hasn't been easy — building something real while bootstrapping takes everything you have. But I love this work. I see the difference it makes. And I wouldn't change the journey, even the hardest parts of it.
ABOUT MUJEN
Mujen is inspired by the Japanese word "Mugen" — infinite possibilities. The dream to become.
Just as the artists, musicians, and writers you love enrich your life with what they've created, your unique gifts have that same power. Mujen was built to hold space for the creativity you've set aside, the dream you haven't yet given yourself permission to pursue, and the version of yourself waiting quietly on the other side of burnout.
I offer Reiki, breathwork, guided meditation, and mentorship — one-on-one sessions, creative circles, and seasonal gatherings in British Columbia. Every offering is designed to help you return to yourself, gently and at your own pace.

COMING — INTERNATIONAL RETREATS
The Africa dream is still alive.
One of the seeds that planted Mujen was a vision I've held for years: bringing small groups of women to Africa for experiences that go beyond tourism — deeply local, deeply healing, deeply transformative. So many women have told me they've always wanted to go but felt afraid to travel there alone. I want to change that.
These retreats are on pause while Mujen grows its roots — but they are coming. If this speaks to something in you, stay connected. Your name on our list means you'll hear about it first.
A NOTE TO YOU
You don't have to wait until your body forces you to stop. You don't have to earn rest. The version of you that feels light, creative, and at peace is not as far away as it feels right now.
You don't need to make a huge leap. Small steps are enough. You don't have to do it alone — and you were never meant to. That's exactly what I'm here for.
With love,
Jennifer K. ♡
